Built from a real practice need.
HapMetrix began with a practical problem: the operational work around running an independent behaviour analysis practice was fragmented, time-consuming and often poorly served by existing software.
What started as software for one real practice became a platform built for a wider community.
Our beginning
It started with one practice.
Pooja Shah is a practising behaviour analyst with an independent practice in London. Seeing the day-to-day realities of that practice, Amit Shah saw how much operational work sits around the clinical work: enquiries, agreements, records, session data, reports, administration, billing, access and information governance.
Existing software did not feel like a natural fit for a smaller UK practice. Some options could be difficult to justify financially, some were designed around different healthcare or funding systems, and some handled clinical data while leaving much of the surrounding administration fragmented.
Amit initially began building software simply to help Pooja run her own practice more effectively. That original need still matters. HapMetrix is designed to support independent and growing practices, as well as established enterprises that need their operational and case information to stay connected.
The turning point
A small project became a serious responsibility.
It quickly became clear that software in this area could not responsibly be treated like an ordinary side project. Behaviour analysis practices handle sensitive personal and health-related information. Their systems contain professional records and evidence used in real decisions about clients.
Permissions, authentication, backups, audit history, availability, data protection, consent records, continuity and secure infrastructure are therefore core product requirements. They are not optional polish.
That realisation led to the professional structures and infrastructure needed to operate HapMetrix as a service. Our Security & Data Protection information explains the current product safeguards in more detail.
From project to company
NovaLattix Ltd
HapMetrix is built and operated by NovaLattix Ltd. NovaLattix was established to provide the company ownership, infrastructure and operating structure required to develop and run HapMetrix as a real service.

Amit Shah
Founder, NovaLattix Ltd and HapMetrix
Amit Shah is the founder of NovaLattix and the developer behind HapMetrix. A Computer Science graduate, his career has combined software engineering, high-performance systems, quantitative trading and business building.
He has experience developing software, managing money in capital markets and operating in highly regulated, high-stakes environments. That background shaped the way HapMetrix was built: not simply as a convenient application, but as a service where reliability, controls, accountability and careful handling of information matter.
HapMetrix began through the needs of Pooja's practice, bringing that technical approach into contact with the practical detail of independent behaviour analysis work.

Pooja Shah runs ABA Consultant London, an independent practice. Her practice provided the real-world starting point for HapMetrix.
Pooja has contributed practitioner feedback and real-world workflow input throughout product development. The product was shaped around practical work such as managing enquiries, agreements, cases, practitioners, session records, data, reports and the administrative responsibilities surrounding independent practice.
Today, ABA Consultant London uses HapMetrix as a client, so product feedback continues to come from day-to-day practice rather than hypothetical workflows.

HapMetrix can support responsible practice and governance. It does not replace professional judgement, practice policies, lawful-basis decisions or legal advice.
Keep independent practice viable
HapMetrix began in an independent practice. Product design and pricing should not assume every provider has a large administrative team.

HapMetrix is live and available to independent and growing behaviour analysis practices. The original practice that prompted its creation uses the platform today.
HapMetrix is still being developed closely with practitioners and early practices, with real feedback informing priorities. Our resources share some of the practical questions we are working to make easier for practices to manage.
